Learning Plan
Part 1: What is your long term goal and/or career pathway?
My long term goal is to become a WEB developer or Fron End Developer that can give me a chance to be flexible to work anywhere in the world.
A description of your own strengths and limitations in relation to learning
My strengths: My strengths are felxible, curiosity and open-minded.
I did the 16 personalities test and reslut was ISTP-T.This is exactly what I am.
I wanted to live the life, a different life. I didn’t want to go to the same place every day and see the same people and do the same job. I wanted interesting challenges. by HARRISON FORD
My Limitations: Language and communication could be my limitations.
I like challenging to new things
and talking to new people, but English is not my first language.
Therefore, even if I know some coding or how to solve problems, it would be hard for me to explain
everything what I would like to.
What skills (non-technical - human skills) would you like to see developed in yourself while at Dev Academy?
To stay focus the work what I have to do and I would like to develop the skill to ask for help when I get
stuck.
I am not good at doing it because of my Japanese culture that you have to solve your problem
without asking.
In addition to this, I would like to get more confident to speak and talk in English.
A commitment to how you will manage your workload in this programme.
To work productively, I set up dual screen at my working space. I used to use a small laptop and it was hard for me to focus such a small screen because I need to search many things and I would like to do coding without switching screen. When things are building up and starting to get to me, I will talk to my facilitator for asking help or feedback.
A commitment as to how and where you will seek help in a timely way
When I get stucked, I would spend 10 to 15 minutes to search but If I could not find any solution, I will ask for help to my facilitator.
A description of what you expect from the facilitation team
I would expect from them fully support whenver I need it and to keep me on track this learning journey.
Any scheduling information such as block-out times when you are committed to other things
As I am still working as a freelance junior web designer for Japanese clients and I have some projects that
have not finished yet.
I hope everthing is going to finish before Christmas and be ready for the boot
camp next year!
I talked to my partner that I would like to focus on sutdying and need support from him to do houseworks.
After sprint 5... How I have changed
Part 2 (after sprint 5...) : What is your long term goal and/or career pathway?
My long term goal is to become a WEB developer or Fron End Developer in e-commerce industry. More and more people use online shooping since we have covid-19, and I see the big potential of the industry and would like to improve their e-commerce website.
What do you think your biggest strengths and limitations will be in Bootcamp?
I would be good listner and be good at doing as a driver when I code.
Limitation would be my English because English is not my first language and still need to translate to my
mother tongue to understand.
In addition to this, I am slow learner and I need a lot of time to
unerstand the logic.
What do you think your biggest non-technical challenge at Bootcamp will be?
It would be mind control as I beleive the bootcamp is sooooooo intense and hard work.
I need to find a way to be calm and relaxed as much as possible.
What non-technical skills - human skills - would you like to see developed in yourself while at Dev Academy?
It could be same as above that how to contorl my self and make me focus and become a productive and better problem-slove person.
What are your expectations from the Bootcamp team?
Big support would be much appreciated!
What are your expectations of yourself on Bootcamp?
Not only having coding skills but also becoming a calm person
